Glass waste is another major component of waste. Items like bottles, jars, glassware etc. falls under this category. Glass bottles and jars are 100% recyclable and can be recycled endlessly without any loss in purity or quality.

There are environmental, economic and social advantages of recycling glass. These advantages include conserving valuable natural resources and raw materials used in industry. Making products from
recycled materials creates less air and water pollution than making products from virgin materials. Saving energy reduces global warming and air pollution. Making products from recycled ingredients often uses much less energy than producing the same product from raw materials. Saving landfill space is another major advantage.

At Planet Green Recycling, we collect almost all types of glass and bottles (except glass from light bulbs, windowpanes, heat-resistant glass such as Pyrex or borosilicate glass and mirrors). The glass waste collected are transported to our facility where it gets separated based on the color (clear, green, amber etc.). The segregated glass waste will then be forwarded to glass manufacturers where it will get cleaned, crushed, remelted and used for making new glass items.
